Joyce E. Koh is a seasoned corporate transactional attorney with solid experience and training as a large-firm associate as well as in-house senior counsel. Ms. Koh was an associate in the Business and Finance departments of Ballard Spahr and Morgan Lewis.  In June 2005, Ms. Koh was recognized by the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Magazine as a "Rising Star" for her work as a corporate transactional lawyer. In 2007 she moved to serve as Senior Vice President and Senior Counsel at Capmark Finance, Inc. working with varied structured products.

Ms. Koh's representations have included clients of ranging from blue chip companies, major national and local community banks, quasi-governmental agencies and small privately held corporations. Her practice has included deal structuring, drafting transactions of various complexity and size, including, but not limited to commercial credit transactions (e.g., credit agreements, inter-creditor agreements, subordination agreement, pledge agreements, guaranty agreements, debtor-in-possession financing), private equity transactions, structured products (e.g., new markets tax credit structure and documents, sub-prime mortgage repo agreements, lease-in-lease-out transactions), commercial real estate transactions (lease and sale), divestitures (e.g., asset purchase agreement, transition services agreements, assignment and assumption agreements, etc.). Ms. Koh is known among her clients as having the ability to apply critical legal analysis to navigate complex legal/business issues pivotal to operations.

Ms. Koh graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in English and Economics and earned her law degree from The Beasley School of Law at Temple University. She was admitted to each of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bar and maintains her practice under the Pennsylvania bar. 

Ms. Koh is active in the entertainment arts in the Philadelphia. She served on the inaugural board of the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival and continues to actively support the film arts.
